About

Utility Sentry incorporates over 40 years of knowledge in the Utility Sub-metering industry to allow users of sub-metering equipment to view, track, and understand usage raw data that was previously only accessible to billing companies. Our experience has shown that the number one issue reported by customers is unexpected high utility usage. Many hours are spent researching months of data to determine the issue causing the high utility usage. Raw data used to generate utility bills no longer has to be unknown to the consumer, only to be explained when there is a complaint about a bill! In most cases, these explanations are too late, and are AFTER the utility has been used. Utility Sentry queries sub-metering equipment daily. Issues can be viewed daily, giving residents and owners the ability to make corrections BEFORE they get out of hand.

Utility Sentry users now have control over their sub-metered utilities by allowing them to:

  • Monitor and effectively make changes to reduce YOUR consumption
  • Set thresholds and receive email alerts when raw usage goes above set threshold
  • Stop unintentional usage BEFORE it has a chance to accumulate
  • Vacant unit monitoring for Property Owner!
  • REDUCE YOUR UTILITY EXPENSES
  • CONSERVE OUR VALUABLE RESOURCES

Best of all, Utility Sentry utilizes equipment you already own and have installed. Property Owners can now offer their residents and managers a useful tool to manage utility usage, and in many states, any associated fees can be recovered. Utility Sentry is continually adding new Automated Meter Reading systems to its database. For more information on how you can have Utility Sentry monitor your sites and give you and your residents a competitive edge, please contact our sales team.

Utility Sentry only Displays data generated from the sub-metering collection equipment in approximate 24-hour time segments. Actual time segments may vary depending on phone/ connection issues. All data is displayed in the unit of measure as stored within the sub-metering collection equipment. Billing companies may incorporate various algorithms or conversions to these numbers based on installed equipment to arrive at a final usage. Utility Sentry is designed to monitor data increases, in its raw form, to alert users of potential waste.
